red wings will beat the predators

Holy cow, these NHL playoffs have been crazy.
From overtime wins spurred from goals with 5 seconds left in regulation to over 100 penalty minutes in games, we’ve seen our share of craziness.
I still stand firm on my prediction that the Red Wings will beat the Predators in 6 games. Yes, I know that they have to win three straight to do so, but, the Wings have dominated the Preds so far, yet find themselves down a game… It happens in hockey.
What I like:
Mike Babcock is mixing up lines and utilizing size match-ups… i.e. dropping Big Bert to the third line.
Shooting the damn puck. The Wings had 45 shots today. They lost, but when you double your opponent’s shots on net, you typically win. Keep doing it Wings.
Pavel/Zetty. Holy lord have they been good. On both sides of the puck.
Jimmy. He gave up 3 goals on 22 shots today, but the guy has made some disgusting saves and has really come into his own. I trust him in net, and that’s saying a lot, especially since Wings fans love to use goalies as a scapegoat.
What I don’t like
Not scoring. Bury the damn puck boys. So many chances, so little goals.
Turnovers in your own zone. I’ve seen sloppy zone passing, and it makes me want to yell. Control the puck!
Weber, and his “punishment”. What a joke.
Inconsistent officiating. Seems like the Wings always get the short straw in this regard, but it’s becoming bad. Just bad. They usually overcome it, but over 45 mins of penalties in 3 games to one of the least penalized teams in the league?….
So far, this series has been entertaining, but if you’re a Predators fan, don’t count on the puck continuing to bounce your way. The Wings were buzzing tonight, and pucks are going to start finding the mesh.
Wings in Six.
