Design?

Given certain visual building blocks such as type, image, illustration, HTML, or CSS, graphic designers attempt to develop abstract ideas in order solve creative problems. Whether a designer is collaborating with a client, instructor, or pursuing their personal work, innovation and communication are the two key ingredients that comprise successful design pieces. So what must a designer do in order to spark interest and communicate their ideas successfully?

Research... research... research more. Oftentimes, it seems that the most intuitive findings lie within the client to designer relationship, which is why this step is of the utmost importance.

"Who is my client?"

"Who is their target?"

"What are the future design-trend implications on the work I complete for them in the present?"

"What are the content needs of their website?"

These types of questions, though they may seem basic, are oftentimes overlooked, and a designer is responsible for taking every possible bit of information into account.

By combining intuition and innovation, the graphic designer produces successful work that makes the viewer, above all other things... well... REMEMBER. I guess what I mean by this can be explained as such: If one sees a designer's work and thinks So what? or I've seen this before, or thinks nothing, the designer has not been successful in their goal.

So what can I offer? I provide the best possible answer(s) to visual communication questions through research, understanding, and a fascination with all things beautiful.

I also like to entertain, perhaps even educate, through writing about things, stuff, and junk.
